I pray, as I come back to my work, for the needs and intentions of CGSHB.
I pray for the repose of the soul of Robert B. Mooney, Terry Knoebel, Nelie Shek, Guarina Orengo and Malik T. and for the consolation of their families
I pray especially for Danette, Malik’s young mother.
I pray for good health and good will of all of us working in CGSHB.
Lord hear our prayer. Our Father…

That we may all make time to pray. Alone and with each one another. And that our eyes are ears are open to voice and will of God.

No one’s day is too busy for at least a minimun expression of personal prayer. I pray for us to dedicate one ”minute” of our time giving witness of prayer HERE and in COMMON. May in doing it God blesses us in sanctifing / healing the Internet.

Sister there are so many individuals who are overwhelmed with responsibilities from home and work and sometimes. when you can sit here for a minute, log in, we may not be able to put two words together. Since God forces ”No One” and waits patiently for us to seek him, he knows what we can not do as well as the times we can. God measures this and no one else can or should.

Dear Jonathan, I know what you mean… This happen to me in front of the Tabenacle… many times in the most Holy moment of the Mass during the Consacration…my mind goes to my ”responsbilities” , to things that are ”nothing” comparing with the act of love we can make in that ”single second” . These moments is when I sense , I am totally aware of my human nature… Much more this can happen to us when we need to remember to come to ”ourpraybook” and pray in front of a computer screen. I never did it. We can find many other sites to pray in the Internet. ”Ourpraybook” made me to understand that is a good thing to pray witnessing our need of God in a public manner. I am now believing that we need to give witness of the need and the power of prayer not only in our hearts, or in our bedroom, in Churches, walking, etc. We need to make prayer visible… The Internet can make it ”visible”…This is why I am coming to ”ourpraybook” . Other sisters do not think like I do… It is OK… But you, you Jonathon, are doing lot of good with those prayers you wrote… I joined you… We don’t know how many others prayed with you. Many people ”pray” for me. I heard this morning coming to work: ”Hi Sister I am praying for you, please pray for me!”. In fact when anyone pray for me, I gratefully accept it, they pray also for what and whom I carry in my heart… including all of us at ”praybook” , yes all of us, believe me who are too ”overwhelmed with responsabilities”. When we find here ..or anywhere.. a second to lift our minds and hearts to Our Creator, to Jesus, to the Holy Spirit we are lifting the whole humankind to the Trinity whom we love, the reason of our lives, from whom we receive Love, whom in fact LOVES us.
Work.. feeling overwhelmed, stressed out is prayer.. We need to offer our moments and situations to God. You know that the rules of the benedictines are summarized by two words: Ora et Labora / Pray and work, ”in this way you will be Saints”! And ”Work is prayer” said Saint John Bosco. You are absolutely right: God is the One who measures it and no one else can or should. Not being able to write two words of prayer can be the best prayer..
But , please continue posting your prayers…Even if is a ”confession” like: Lord, I cannot pray.. Or Lord I cannot express my needs..or the needs of others… Lord, blesses me!”
Dear Jonathon, please pray for me too. In fact I asked today to the Holy Spirit to teach us to pray. It was good to write these reflections to you and understanding your point of view. I am no one related to ”ourpraybook” . I am like you and others who signed to come here and pray…
So, we pray for each other.
          God bless you Jonathon.

      Dear Sister,
Thank you for your message and sharing your thoughts and experiences. My Aunt who is a retired religious has always taught me to be honest in my relationship with God. When I go to mass sometimes, my mind races so much that I end up saying ”Lord, I can not keep a thought in my head, since I am here, please work on me, you know my heart”. When I was younger, things were so much clearer and I felt God’ presence so much as my Mom and Grandmother taught me to pray the rosary when I was about 6 years old. I prayed with all my heart and at a young age, felt God’s presence all around me. And now, just as you said, it takes more faith and trust in the Lord to let our defenses down and think like little children coming to God with pure love, pure intentions, and knowing confidently that our prayers will be answered. Michael explained to me that just typing a prayer here, is a prayer in of itself. That makes me feel good, because I was stating an intention to pray, and then praying silently after. I will work and get this site in the public eye on my end as much as possible.
I will especially keep your intentions in my prayers as well.
      God Bless you too Sister!

Dear Jonathan, I didn’t realize you answered me.
I am glad you did. If you prayed the rosary with all your heart when you were 6 y-o you can do it again and again…Just imagine you are a boy again…at that age and anew one of that thoughts. My real first meditation happened when I was 19 y-o. Up to now I go back to what happpened that day and almost immediatelly I am re-collecting thoughts and centering my ming and heart in prayer. I think that distractions really happens a lot…No wonder the Apostles and disciples seeing Jesus in prayer asked Him to teach them to pray. I read many books about prayer..but no one surpasses the teachings how to pray Our Father… We have the ”key” there.
Michael is right in what he told you. Sometime ago I was feeling too responsible for prayers requested to me. A priest and teacher said to me…”when anyone ask you to pray they already are praying.” I take to heart not to forget but if we do, I know and I trust …God heard the request. Thank you for praying with me.
I see you in the picture with a child…Please teach children to pray .
I pray now for your grandma hoping she is doing well. God bless you and yours.
